One proper evidence of a long-lost civilization – the ruins of Puma Punku are the most fascinating structures which defy the logic. A lot of researchers and archeologists from all over the world still trying to explain who built these mysterious structures and what was their purpose?
Located in Bolivia this ancient megalithic site has many unsolved mysteries, one of them is how ancient mankind was able to build such perfect shape structure without using any advance technology and tools unless this civilisation was extremely sophisticated and advance. Official history sources state that advanced civilizations did not inhabit this area in the distant past.
Engineers and constructors around the world can’t replicate these stunning achievements of ancient people also they can’t explain how they managed to transport massive blocks of stones within long distance and cut precisely after put them together.
One more puzzling question at Puma Punku is the assembly of the walls, the famous H blocks of Bolivia. First of all all of the blocks are cut to be interlocked and fitted together like a puzzle. The cuts are absolutely perfect along with the equal depth holes cored into the stones.
As far as many people are concerned, there is no way that ancient people could have done this few thousands years ago. The structures alone, and their elaborate design and precision points that ancient civilisation was much more advanced than we thought .
Puma Punku covers a large part of the massive ancient city of Tiwanaku and it is located just southeast of Lake Titicaca in the Andes. Scientists believe Tiahuanaco was once the center of civilization with more than 40,000 inhabitants. Tiahuanaco is probably the greatest Native American civilization that many people haven’t heard of.
It is believed the construction could have taken place anywhere from 500 b.c. all the way back to the Ice Age. Such complicate construction requires high developed astronomy, mathematics, planning skills, however there are not records of this project have been found.
The exact origin and age of the megalithic site is disputed. Early explorer and engineer Arthur Posnansky, one of the first modern explorers of the site, dated Puma Punku to about 15,000 B.C.; modern archaeologist Neil Steede stands behind Posnansky’s claim. Posnansky used the astronomical alignments of the site’s main temple to date it. “They built the temple itself as a giant clock,” Steede said in an interview with Forbidden History.
Some ancient astronaut theorists suggest Puma Punku was built by another civilization that came across the ocean, built the complex and left or probably it could have been alien beings who brought technology and guidance to ancient people in the remote past.
The ruins of Puma Punku are one of four structures in the ancient city of Tiahuanaco. The others three structures are; The Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasasaya Platform, and the Subterranean Temple.
